Guide: Turn your pc into a WiFi Hotspot with UC browser

This guide aims to teach you “How to Turn Your pc into a WiFi Hotspot with UC browser” for free on ALL WINDOWS platform (Windows XP/7/8/8.1/10) as well as desktops, allowing your other devices to connect to it. With Internet Connection Sharing, you can turn your laptop into a Wireless Hotspot and share your Internet connection with those connected devices.

Thanks to the FREE virtual Wi-Fi feature available in UC browser, you can even create a Wi-Fi hotspot while you’re connected to another Wi-Fi network, sharing one Wi-Fi connection over another one.

If you want to setup a Wi-Fi router hotspot with just the right options and a nice interface, this UC Browser has a great application called Virtual Hotspot that lets you easily create a hotspot from your internet connection. The best part is that it is entirely free and you can even use your PC as a Wi-Fi repeater or share a tethered connection off your hone.

This Virtial Hotspot is great if you’re at a hotel that charges per device, or if you’re on a plane and you connect your laptop but don’t want to pay more to connect your phone.

Some other applications that can perform similar function with more options are the Connectify Hotspot which is a paid application and the MyPublicWiFi: Best Alternative to Connectify Hotspot Pro.

Setup a Wi-Fi Hotspot Using UC Browser Virtual Hotspot

Windows has integrated ways to create a Wi-Fi hotspot, but you should probably skip them. The free uc browser virtual hotspot application will work better in most cases. When you allow shortcut to be created, it acts as an independent Hotspot Windows application and you really don’t need to use the UC browser to get it running. It’s actually just a little interface on top of powerful features built into Windows — features that Windows itself doesn’t expose.

For example, it creates a virtual Wi-Fi adapter that allows you to be connected to a Wi-Fi network while hosting your own Wi-Fi network. You can do both things at once with just a single Wi-Fi adapter, making this an ideal way to share hotel Wi-Fi connections and other Wi-Fi networks you may only have a single login to.

It also provides a nice interface for setting this up, one more convenient than the one found in Windows 7. Windows 8 doesn’t provide any graphical interface for setting this up, so it’s even more important there. The commercial Connectify application just provides a pretty interface on top of these features built into Windows, and UC browser Virtual Hotspot will let you do the same thing without spending any money or seeing any advertisements.

Before we begin, you should make sure that you’ve got a laptop or desktop with a wireless card that is currently connected. Also, make sure you have a internet network source – your Android/iPhone/Modem or any internet source.

Then locate the tool/options/settings on the interface as shown below.

Click on it to reveal various options. You can tick the boxes with the options you prefer but as seen below, i ticked all because it is important for me to have it auto-start and have a shortcut were i can access the Wifi to monitor it’s activities without launching the browser. That said, click “Apply”.

Now check on your Windows desktop, you will notice UC Free Wifi shortcut has been created and it’s icon visible in the taskbar.
